Think Gary Allan crossed with Toby Keith, sprinkled with some Alan Jackson and you have The Dirty Hound Dogs.  These guys sound like they have been part of Music Row in Nashville all their life.

The Dirty Hound Dogs are Marcus (Gordo) Gordon and Scott (Scott-e) Neasham. They were formed after a chance meeting in a bar, Scott-e had seen Gordo playing in various local bands and on this occasion Gordo was helping a band with his mixing skills.

Over a couple of beers, The Dirty Hound Dogs were born. The Dirty Hound Dogs are primarily a song writing team, focused mainly on only the big sounding country / honky tonk style tunes.

Gordo has played in many West Australian bands, covering a variety of styles and playing with a mixture of other musicians including the likes of Rick Steele (father to Little Birdy and Sleepy Jackson).  Gordo has also made a fulltime career out of being a musician and has toured Australia extensively and in countries like New Zealand and various parts of Asia.

Scott-e has had dream from the early age of five, he wanted to write a hit song. Having played bass for a number of years in a couple of bands that never went further than the rehearsal studios, Scott-e decided to focus more on the song writing side of his musical career. The partnership between Gordo and Scott-e, has allowed this side to develop to it’s full potential.

The first song for release from The Dirty Hound Dogs is an up-tempo country number called ‘She Took My Whiskey’. Written just after Scott-e’s birthday, when a friend bought him 3 bottles of Whiskey; Chivas Regal, Jameson’s and Wild Turkey. His friend took the bottle of Chivas home with them and left his wad of cash next to his Wild Turkey bottle; from this the song was born.

The second scheduled song is the foot tapping Mr. Jack. A story about a man who looses his girl and finds solace in a bottle of Jack Daniels and gets his life back on track.

Cross My Heart is an uptempo love song, written for Scott-e's wife. When she asked Scott-e how much does he love her, he replied....I love you baby, Cross My Heart.  Five minutes later the song was compeleted.

Without a doubt, The Dirty Hound Dogs will be one of the song writing influences of the 21st Century.
